Saturday Kiara and Katia competed in the PESOS, which is the county competition for the Science Olympiad. They had so much fun and Scott and Sundy did too. We all woke up real early in the morning (5:30am) to get to the bus that took us to the competition and didn't get back home until 3:30 pm. We packed a sack lunch and ejoyed the great weather we have been having. Kiara competed in the Science Bowl, Boggle Science and Write it - Do it. Katia competed in the straw egg drop and Categories. This competition was a little different from the last two in that there was more competitors and the parents were not allowed in some of the events while they were constructing their projects. That was a bummer but at least we were able to go and support their team. Unfortunately their team did not finish in the top 4 but they both had a blast and will do it again if they get the chance. It was fun to see them use their science skills and whatch them have fun with their friends.

How exciting for them!!! I remember my first science fair in 6th grade - what a fun experience!
I wish they had more science here for the elementary schools! Maybe I can change that??!! Tell the girls they are awesome!
