Top 10 Favorite LDS Primary Songs

This week's top ten is all about Primary songs. One of our most favorite times in Primary was when we had singing time. We both enjoyed learning the songs each week. Our daughters also enjoy singing time in Primary and really love to learn new ones. Often primary songs will come into our heads when we are driving or walking or alone. They cheer us up when we are having a bad day. They instill a love for the gospel and our Savior. We are so grateful for them. Here are a few that we especially love. What ones do you love that are not on the list?

1. I Am a Child of God
2. Love Is Spoken Here
3. I Love To See the Temple
4. I’m Trying To Be Like Jesus
5. A Child’s Prayer
6. My Eternal Family
7. Scripture Power
8. If the Savior Stood Beside Me
9. We’ll Bring the World His Truth (Army of Helaman)
10. My Heavenly Father Loves Me

Top 10 Memories of Scott and Sundy’s Life Together

This week's top ten is in honor of our wedding anniversary, which is today. Fourteen years ago we were married in the Denver Temple. My how the time has flown by and what fun memories we have built together. Here are just a few that really stood out.

1. Our Wedding Day - Grandad White sealed us for time and all eternity to each other in the Denver Temple.
2. The Birth of our Daughters – Kiara and Katia have been a real joy to have in our life. They are our little blessings.
3. “The Cat’s Meow” - When Sundy was rehearsing for her Senior Recital, she sang a song where the words were “Meow” over and over again. She had been rehearsing this song over and over in our tiny apartment when all of a sudden you heard the neighbor below yell “SHUT UP!”
4. Hitting a skunk with the car! While on a date Scott hit a skunk dead on. The smell was overbearing. Sundy laughed and laughed! It was even more fun when we took the car to the car wash and poured tomato sauce all over the car, trying to get rid of the smell! (It didn’t work!) Poor Scott had to suffer for a while with the smell.
5. Falling In the Shower - One time when we were taking a shower together, Scott slipped and fell which caused Sundy to fall and the shower curtain and rod came down on top of us with the shower still going. The site made Scott laugh! Sundy cried! The neighbors downstairs moved out the next week.
6. Midnight Runs - We would be in bed trying to fall asleep when we would get the craving to go out for pancakes. We would get up, get dressed and go to Village Inn (the only thing open in Grand Junction) for some hotcakes!
7. Honeymoon to Ouray - Our "little Switzerland." It is so beautiful! We love to go visit when we can.
8. Valentine Dates Vegas Style - Roll the Dice and go where it tells you to go! We had so much fun!
9. Working Together at PretzelMaker - We love working together! We still work well together!
10. Nursery Leaders TOGETHER! - When we were called, we were surprised to find out that there were ONLY boys in the nursery. We weren’t sure we knew how to handle boys, but we grew to love them!

Kiara for Student Council

Kiara decided she would like to run for student council this year. She thought she could make a difference and would really enjoy being more involved in the school affairs. She ran against four other people in her class. They were able to make six posters and hang them up. They also had to give a speech to their class on why they would make the best candidate. She enjoyed giving her speech and even ended it with a wink. They voted yesterday and Kiara found out that she had been elected. She was so excited. We are glad that she is trying new things and developing new talents. Congrats Kiara!!! Here is a picture of her and one of her posters.
